Robert A. Smith is a Garland-based commercial real estate developer and property manager specializing in downtown redevelopment and revitalization. His goal is to create an “authentic sense of place one building at a time”. He received his Masters Degree from SMU in Liberal Arts and his Bachelor’s of Business Administration Degree in Real Estate and Insurance from Baylor University. Other studies include Urban Retail: Essential Planning, Design, and Management Practices. He is a member of the Congress of New Urbanism, served on the Board of Directors for the Garland Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Garland Downtown Business Association, and past Board Member of the Texas Downtown Association. He is also a Life Member of the Dallas Planning Council.
