On September 18, 2026, the City of Garland hosted its inaugural Garland on the Rise Economic Development Summit, bringing together approximately 250 developers, business leaders, community partners, and stakeholders for a morning focused on the opportunities shaping Garland’s future.

Throughout the event, attendees heard from City leadership, Garland ISD, and development professionals about major projects, strategic investments, and initiatives driving growth across the community. From infrastructure improvements and redevelopment opportunities to housing and commercial development, the summit highlighted Garland’s continued momentum and the partnerships helping move the city forward.
